The Wanted performed an emotional live cover on the season finale of Dancing With The Stars last night (14th May). The UK band opted to give their own rendition of US singer Tori Kelly’s hit ‘Fill A Heart’, singing while a pair of dancers gave an energetic performance in front of them on stage. “Loved performing on DWTS. And it was for a real worthy cause,” Tom Parker tweeted after the event, referring to charity Child Hunger Ends Here, while singer Max George posted: “Hope @ToriKelly approves!” The band performed without band member Nathan Sykes, who is currently back at home recovering from his recent vocal chord surgery, and recently admitted it felt “weird” to be without their fifth member. Check out a video of The Wanted performing ‘Fill A Heart’ on Dancing With The Star below:
Earlier this month The Wanted gave their brand new single ‘Walks Like Rihanna’ its first play on Capital FM, as well as unveiling a music video that sees them paying tribute to some of the biggest boy bands of the nineties. The Wanted’s new E! reality series The Wanted Life is set to premiere in America on 2nd June and a brand new extended trailer debuted this week. |

Ever wondered what it’s like to be one of the frisky fivesome in The Wanted? Here’s your chance to find out. The guys will be the stars of their own E! reality show, “The Wanted Life,” set to premiere on the network on June 2, and there’s an early glimpse out now. The sneak peek displays all the ups and downs of being in the U.K. boy band. The group moved out to sunny L.A. for the series earlier this year, and the trailer captures them living out their pop superstar dreams. As their tune “All Time Low” plays in the background, Max George reveals, “When we started, we had these dreams of success and touring the world.” And while there does appear to be some fun, courtesy of some parties and the pool at their sleek Hollywood home, there are also tears and relationship strife as well. Bandmate Jay McGuiness notes, “It’s not all fun and games.” The show was first announced back in February. “We’re moving into Hollywood into a big house. We’re not actually too sure where yet… for a certain period of time doing a bit of filming, bit of fly on the wall. I feel so sorry for [the neighbors], apologies now if it is you! We’re all really excited about it,” George shared at the time, also serving up a warning for all the ladies around town. “I’m not that picky when it comes to Hollywood girls. There’s something special about them.” Last week, manager Scooter Braun teased that the series would certainly include “a lot of singing and a lot of drinking.” There’s no word on if Nathan Sykes’ vocal cord surgery will be included in the series. But he added, “We’re worried, but he’s in recovery right now and we’re being optimistic. Our prayers go out to him and right now we don’t know. We’re just waiting to see how he reacts to the surgery.” The show’s teaser comes just as the guys dropped their brand-new single, “Walks Like Rihanna.” The plucky tune was produced by Dr. Luke and serves as the lead single off their 2013 album release. A video for the song is slated to drop on May 7. |

The Wanted’s overexcited fans threw underwear on the stage as the band performed in Rio de Janeiro on Friday. The group were singing at Brazil’s Z Festival when they were inundated with briefs and thongs but Jay McGuiness was thrilled and pocketed a slinky red pair. Siva Kaneswaran posted a picture of Jay putting the underwear in his shirt pocked on twitter and wrote: ‘Yes that actually happened @jaythewanted the perv (sic).’ Jay later wrote on twitter about how much he enjoyed the gig and praised the fans saying: ‘The Fanmily were awesome tonight #ooft (sic).’ Jay isn’t the only person who likes receiving underwear from fans, One Direction recently insisted they love when their female fans throw their panties at them on stage, but claim they can be a health hazard. The Wanted have thanked the team behind Justin Bieber for saving them after they parted company with former manager Jayne Collins. The ‘Chasing The Sun’ stars told the Daily Star that they were pulled back from the brink after signing with the Canadian teen idol’s Svengali Scooter Braun earlier this year. “There was some painful stuff to go through, which I can’t say too much about. Scooter had been sort of guiding us anyway, but we were heartbroken about what happened. “I don’t want to badmouth anyone, as it’s not healthy to sound bitter. You have to realise life isn’t all roses and butterflies.” The group also discussed their recent appearance at the 10th birthday party of Victoria and David Beckham’s son, Romeo, with Tom claiming: “It was weirdly normal – kids running around everywhere, go-karting.” Nathan then added: “I had bruises all down my back from when David shoved me out of the way when we were competing on the karts.” Source: Press Party |
